Webinar: How Structured Data (XBRL) Is Used Today

How are regulators, investors, research analysts, and other data consumers using structured, machine-readable data prepared by corporate filers every quarter?

Mohini Singh, director, Financial Reporting Policy, conducted a webinar with XBRL US, to talk about a study conducted to investigate the consumption of structured data. The study addresses which data are available and how data are being consumed and refutes the claim by some that data are not being used.  She talks about the use of data around the world and provides insights into why XBRL-formatted data is becoming more widespread in the capital markets. The webinar also discusses the increasingly advanced consumption tools that are available that can be leveraged to use the data.
