Biography

Doug Ryder has been an intellectual property (IP) attorney for 25 years and handles all aspects of IP including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. He assists his clients in the procurement, licensing, and enforcement of their IP rights. Ryder prepares legal opinions for his clients including patentability, trademarkability, infringement, and clearance opinions. He has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of US patents in different technical fields and industries and worked with foreign counsel to obtain foreign patents. Ryder practices before the Patent Trial and Board where patents can be challenged before the USPTO as an alternative to Federal Court. Previously, he was a program manager for an engineering company.
