Julie Nguyen is a PhD researcher in Empirical Corporate Finance at KU Leuven in Antwerp within the Finance Research Group of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). She holds an MBA in International and Sustainable Finance from KU Leuven (Brussels, 2024). Her master's thesis allowed her to explore empirical questions in finance in depth and reinforced her long-standing passion for academia. Internships at Euronext Brussels (Equity Capital Markets), Athora Belgium (Investment Analysis), and PepsiCo Belux (Commercial Finance) gave her hands-on experience in financial markets, particularly capital markets, and sparked her curiosity about the real-world dynamics she now investigates through her PhD research.
