Biography

Odiri Oginni, CFA, DBA, is the CEO of United Capital Asset Management, a leading investment firm in Nigeria with more than ₦1 trillion in assets under management. She assumed the role in January 2019 and brings more than 19 years of experience in investment management and financial advisory. Before her appointment as CEO, Oginni served as group chief financial officer of United Capital Plc, one of Nigeria’s foremost financial services groups. She also previously held the role of CFO at UBA Global Markets, the investment banking arm of United Bank for Africa Plc. Oginni currently serves as vice president of the CFA Society Nigeria and previously chaired the Society’s Employer Relations Committee. She is a member of the Equity Portfolio Advisory Committee for the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) and serves on the Executive and Governing Council of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association. She is also a member of the Forbes Finance Council, where she frequently publishes on topics related to investor behavior and women’s investment decision-making. She holds a first-class degree in Accounting from Babcock University and an MBA from Strayer University. She is a CFA charterholder and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA). Oginni earned her Doctorate in Business Administration from Lagos Business School.
