Biography

Rob Nestor, CFA, has more than 30 years of experience in asset management with leadership roles across product development, enterprise commercialization, and distribution strategy. Previously, Nestor was president and head of Direxion, a leading provider of exchange-traded funds and mutual funds with nearly $30B in AUM. He also held a number of executive positions at BlackRock, including managing director and head of iShares $100+ billion US Smart Beta ETFs and head of the iShares product strategy for BlackRock’s US Wealth Advisory business. Before joining BlackRock, Nestor was at Vanguard, responsible for a variety of product and business development leadership roles in both the retail and institutional divisions. He was also Global Head of Product Development when Vanguard launched their first exchange-traded funds in the early 2000s. Nestor is a CFA charterholder. He holds an MBA from Drexel University in finance - investment management and a BS in economics from the University of Delaware. He is also a member of the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia and the CFA Institute. Nestor is also a founding and current board member of the Philadelphia Chapter of Women in ETFs.
