Complementing #CFAinvest Sessions: Student Networking and Social Opportunities

Executives and staff from CFA Institute, working in concert with the Annual Conference Advisory Group, have put together an agenda for Montréal that gathers leading researchers, noted economists, and successful practitioners to share relevant insights for investment professionals.
However, the personal connections made by delegates outside of conference sessions can be just as valuable as the investment perspectives shared by established luminaries and influential thinkers.
Conference delegates interested in knowledge building, career exploration, and relationship building will find a range of social opportunities available at the 69th CFA Institute Annual Conference. Delegates registered to attend the conference are welcome to participate in the following:
- Delegate and University Student Networking Reception
Ahead of last year’s CFA Institute Annual Conference, held in Frankfurt, delegates explored investment industry topics with students from local schools, including the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. This year, CFA Institute is hosting another opportunity for delegates to make a difference by sharing career tips, industry insights on key aspects of the global profession, ethics and integrity, and other professional guidance.
- Sunday Welcome Reception
After the Sunday keynote presentation, “Finance as a Force for Good,” join Daniel Goleman in the historic Ruelle des Fortifications for the conference welcome reception.
- Tuesday Networking Reception and Dinner
Following the conference sessions on Tuesday, a reception will be held in the avant-garde complex at New City Gas for a fantastical evening of performing arts and deliciously creative cuisine.
- Meet and Greet Sessions
Conference delegates can meet with Paul Smith, CFA, president and CEO of CFA Institute, and Beth Hamilton-Keen, CFA, chair of the CFA Institute Board of Governors, as well as other speakers from the conference and members of the CFA Institute global community.
- Book Signings with Authors
Select speakers will be available to sign copies of their books at different times during this year’s conference.
- Partner/Guest Social Events
For partners and guests of delegates registered to attend the conference, CFA Institute has prepared opportunities for professional networking, expert engagement, and multicultural exploration.
Conference delegates can build their own personalized schedule by downloading the conference app; the full conference agenda and list of speakers are also available online. Although the 69th CFA Institute Annual Conference is less than a month away, there is still time to register for the event.
