Beyond the Conference: Special Events

Posted In: Archives

On Wednesday, 22 May, delegates to the 66th CFA Institute Annual Conference and their guests have the opportunity to take part in the CFA Society Singapore’s Annual Golf Challenge at Sentosa Golf Club. Sentosa Golf Club, which was opened in 1974 by Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, has been recognized as one of “Asia’s 10 Most Elite Golf Courses” by Forbes magazine and hosted the 2012 Barclays Singapore Open last November.

The golf challenge, which is being organized by CFA Society Singapore and requires a separate registration, is one of several social events that are being offered in connection with the conference. A full list of events is available on the Partner/Guest Social Events page of this website, and they include a tour of the Singapore Botanic Gardens and a presentation on exploring life in Singapore held at The American Club

CFA Institute is also offering a chance for delegates and their guests to make the most of their time in Singapore by making new connections and catching up with friends and colleagues at our networking and cocktail evening receptions.

Additionally, conference delegates are invited to attend the Research Foundation Workshop for the Practitioner on Sunday, 19 May, for a chance to learn more about managing portfolios to protect against tail risk.

These events provide a range of educational and entertaining opportunities for delegates to the 66th CFA Institute Annual Conference — which itself features presentations from local authorities, prominent academics from the region, and expert investors. You can register now to attend the annual conference, and follow this blog for more updates.
