Biography

Dr. Lucia Catalan is a Managing Director in the Client Solutions Group within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, serving as head of the Iberia Client Business. She is responsible for coverage of clients in the region including pension funds, banks and insurance companies. As part of her role, she advises clients on investment solutions including fixed income and liquidity, equity, alternatives and private markets. Prior to that, Catalan worked in a product strategy role at Fleming Asset Management in New York, covering institutional clients in Latin America. She received her doctoral degree (DBA) “Cum Laude” in Management and Technology in 2024 from Comillas Pontifical University in Spain with her thesis on “Measuring Climate Transition risk in the European Equity Market.” She earned a MSc in International Relations and Affairs from the London School of Economics in 2013. She also earned a BA in Business Administration and Management from ICADE in Spain. Catalan is a CFA charterholder and a member of CFA Society Spain.
