Pete Vatev, CFA, FRM, is an assistant professor in finance at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Business in Richmond, VA. Before joining academia, he was in finance where his last job was the head of portfolio risk management at a hedge fund. He holds a BA in economics and an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago.
