Systemic Risk Council: Little to Celebrate on Dodd-Frank’s Two-Year Anniversary

From the “continuing procession of financial scandals” to the impact of financial industry lobbyists, it’s been a bumpy road for U.S. financial reform in the two years since the sweeping Dodd-Frank Act was signed into law.

In a Yahoo! Finance guest column, the former head of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Sheila Bair, laments the sad state of U.S. regulatory reform and what’s needed to restore public trust in the financial system. Bair is chair of the CFA Institute-co-sponsored Systemic Risk Council (SRC); her column is the first in a series of op-eds by SRC members on a variety of financial reform topics.
