CFA Institute has just released a new tool, the Disclosure Guide Matrix, that will be a resource not only for firms that claim compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®), but also for verification firms and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Why is this tool needed? What specific industry need does it respond to? How will it be used?

Anju Grover, CIPM, senior GIPS analyst in the Investment Performance Standards Policy Group of CFA Institute, poses these and other questions about the new Disclosure Guide Matrix to Justin Guthrie, CFA, current chair of the US Investment Performance Committee, who is managing partner for ACA Performance Services. In their five-minute interview, find out the whats, whys, and hows of our new tool, including why Guthrie calls it “elegant in its simplicity.”
